Heel less Shoes, Trend of The Season

Heel less shoes have been around for a while existing in the creative minds of  designers like Antonio Berardi.  How can anyone forget his skin tight heel less boots Victoria Beckham debuted in 2008. Everybody wanted to know where and how to get a pair.  Since then Heel less shoes have been making it’s way to mainstream. I never foresaw this because they looked dangerously uncomfortable and I kinda felt like they would just tip backwards.

However, after reading several reviews and trying on a pair myself,  I found out that they were actually not that hard to walk in. Although, it takes a certain fashionista to approach the fierceness of these shoes, less you wanna take a tumble like Lady Gaga did.

The earlier designs of the heel less shoes weren’t all that if you ask me, especially the Lady Gaga ones. They are definitely more chic and sexy now. The trick to these shoes are that they are extremely heavy in the front because they are deliberately weighted in the platform base under the toe. This means that all your weight is pushed forward and then downwards. So you can’t tip backwards like i thought, and there isn’t any unbalanced wobbling effect like when you’re wearing stiletto heels.

Now these shoes are not just for the celebs. Stores like Nastygal and Solestruck have given us haute comfortable heel less shoes at retail prices. Check them out!
